Little Buddies is an independent Ofsted registered nursery located in the centre of Guisborough, with easy access for all transport links.
Little Buddies @ Bow Street was originally known as Bow Street Nursery which closed its doors in January 2019. Little Buddies is a new nursery registration with Ofsted from June 2019. The nursery has recently had a major extension and refurbishment and now comprises of dedicated baby rooms and rooms for over 2’s. Each room is furnished to a high standard and equipped with quality furniture, resources and equipment. Each room has been planned with careful consideration to ensure that we provide a safe, fun, stimulating and tranquil environment.
Little Buddies team members are chosen for their experience working with children, qualifications, training and continued desire to want to work with children.
If our advertised opening times don’t work for you, contact the management team as we may be able to accommodate earlier or later opening hours to suit your childcare needs.
We open Monday to Friday in school holidays whether we have one child booked in or twenty children booked in. We will not close our holiday provision leaving you unable to access childcare just because we are quieter on some days. (Except public bank holidays and Christmas period)
We are the only nursery in the area to provide childcare to all age ranges. Giving you peace of mind you are able to keep your children together throughout their childhood years.
All of them, whether it be for school nursery wrap around or before and after school club.
We use regular staff in all rooms providing continuous provision and support to you and your child. We reward our staff for their hard work and dedication to the setting by giving them incentive rewards on a monthly basis. This helps keep morale to a high and ensures they know we appreciate them.
Not only do we DBS check staff we continuously check their DBS’s as part of our ‘Suitable People Policy’. We provide training for our staff more frequent than necessary. More importantly we complete Paediatric first aid yearly instead of every three years as per statutory requirements.
We are always looking to improve our environment for your little ones, by ensuring this is decorated to a high clean standard, it is safe and provides a calm, happy and stimulating place to be.
We provide resources and equipment that are designed for schools and nurseries. Not only are they manufactured to a high commercial standard they are developed to ensure children not only learn but have fun at the same time. They are designed to ensure children have a reason to love learning!
We do not just cover topics as part of our curriculum. We provide daily activities for all children to enable them to have fun and give them the opportunity to learn.
We always strive to work with local charities and partners. We have formed a working partnership with ‘World of Imagination’ the local role play centre/cafe and are now due to start our very own mother and toddler group at the local church hall.
We ensure our building is safe for children, staff and visitors. We work with a health and safety company to ensure we are compliant not only in the workplace but as a ‘Children’s Nursery’.
We have recently been awarded for the second time in three years a five star food safety rating!
Not only do we use Babys’ Days to communicate with you and share your child’s learning and photo’s, we have a closed group on facebook in which we share lots of exciting news and your child’s day with us.
We are committed to providing a stimulating, fun, yet caring environment for your child. We offer something for all children based around their individual needs, interests and abilities. We have weekly sing and sign sessions, Moo Music, outings to local amenities, libraries, parks, museums, nursing homes for the elderly and often participate in fund raisers for charities. We plan something for all our children and help them to achieve to the best of their ability within their development and contribute to their school readiness.
