LITTLE BUDDIES CHILDCARE
Fees: Fees need to be paid one month in advance. Please speak to management if you have any questions.
The registration process: You will be asked to complete an induction training session on babys days and invited to an overall induction at the setting where we will discuss funding options with you, our closed group on Facebook and much more.
You will need to complete the following documentation:
We will do our best to accommodate emergency bookings but we cannot always guarantee we will have a place due to numbers and staffing ratios. You must apply to us in writing by email.
You must inform us as soon as you know you are going to be late. You can do this by ringing the little buddies phone 01287 200072. Please do not rely on texts or emails.
If you cannot collect your child, we will attempt to contact your child’s emergency contacts who must be able to collect them as promptly as possible. We will follow our Late Collection / Non collection policy procedures if you do not arrive to collect your child and have been unable to inform us. Note that in an emergency, if advised by Redcar & Cleveland your child may be transferred to the home of the owner of Little Buddies who is also an Ofsted registered childminder.
You will be charged a late fee if your payment is late.
We accept payment from all the major voucher companies and Tax-Free childcare. You will need to arrange vouchers ( including Tax Free Childcare payments) to arrive in the Little Buddies bank account by the last working day of each month, one month prior to starting the contract – we charge one month in advance.
Once a contract has been completed and signed by both parties, you should arrange to set up payment by voucher or tax free as a matter of urgency due to their administration lead times for setting up new accounts and transferring cleared funds.
Ad-hoc childcare: If you do not want a regular space for your child and your child attends for ad-hoc sessions, you will need to email us to book your sessions providing as much notice as possible. (Adhoc care cannot be guaranteed)
Note – please do not assume a place is available for your child until we have replied to your email. Any cancellations will still be charged.
Please note: You are responsible for keeping us updated with changes to the information you have given us. It is important we can contact you and your child’s emergency contacts if the need arises.
Further Documents: When you register with Little Buddies we will assign a comprehensive set of Policies and Procedures for Parents and other parent documents on babys days – these will help you to learn more about Little Buddies and how we work.
You will also receive further information about Little Buddies to support you and your child including a regular newsletter, Facebook and much more.
As soon as you know you will need an extra place for your child please email us. We will reply by email to confirm whether a space is available.
Note: extra sessions must be paid for within 48 hours of booking, in advance of attendance.
Please let us know as soon as possible if your child will not be attending a session that has been booked. Fees will still be incurred.
If you do not contact us, your child will remain on the register. If a child does not attend the nursery as usual, we will contact the parent to confirm that everything is ok.
Little Buddies provides a healthy, nutritious breakfast, a ‘lite-bites’ snack menu, and snack tea. Lots of activities and fun all the time! Children do not need to bring toys or personal belongings such as jewellery from home and we advise against this in case of any losses or damage. Please send younger children with a small bag which contains a spare set of clothes in case they are required – all clothes should be clearly labelled.
Children who are walking need appropriate footwear for the weather and a waterproof coat with them at all times, even if the weather is forecast is warm when they arrive in the morning. No umbrellas please! Please also bare in mind the temperatures for the seasons when clothing your child.
Little Buddies staff cannot care for ill children. We use the exclusion periods provided by Public Health England and our ‘ is your child well enough to play?’ wellbeing and involvement observation. Please let us know as soon as possible by contacting Little Buddies by phone or emailing us if your child is not attending so we can adjust our registers.
If you know you are going to be late – or in an emergency – please call the Little Buddies phone as quickly as possible. The children’s care is always our priority, so calls and texts might not always be answered immediately.
If you are unable to speak to us, please leave a message and you will be contacted as soon as possible.
Each child at the nursery is allocated a member of staff as their key person, who will be your first point of contact. The key person will monitor your child’s settling in, as well as their care, learning and development whilst attending Little Buddies. Having a key person will give your child a sense of security and ensure continuity, which can be particularly important if they take a while to settle, or have had any upsets outside of Little Buddies.
Little Buddies takes pride in its friendly, approachable staff members who encourage the best communication possible between the nursery, the children, your child’s school and you, their parents, or carers. You can speak to your child’s key person, the manager, or the owner if you wish to raise any concerns.
If you wish to make a complaint, please see our complaints policy in your policies and procedures within babys days for more information.
Little Buddies has a written comprehensive folder of Policies and Procedures which will be shared with you at induction and when updated or can be accessed within babys days. Please take the time to read our policies and Procedures as they form part of the Contract between us.
If you have any questions about our policies and procedures, please ask The Manager for more information.
HAPPY PARENTS
